Crosby Stills Nash & Young re-union tour bootlegs

After their over whelming success in the sixties and at the peak of their careers, the foursome group split up went in their separate musical directions. Their musical growth in their own individual directions was evident in their live album '4 Way Street'. One could feel that they are drifting apart from their earlier music and sound as a band and going in their respective musical directions.

Though David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash got together very often to play together either in the studio or live, it was Neil Young who was always very aloof and continued with his successful career and a cult following. Neil always presented his audience with a wide range of music and soul searching lyrics throught his long musical journey. But the magic of CSNY could never happen in any of the band members music and sound. The fans always hoped that CSNY will re-unite and play together.

Well, luckily the 4 musicians did unite from time to time at different stages of their lives and went on tour playing together to their loyal fans and admirers. These concert tours were as much enjoyable to them as they were to the audiences who wanted evermore.

Here are soundboard recordings of some of the concerts that they gave for their loyal following.

Tommy Emmanuel

A finger picking style guitar virtuoso from Australia who will sure leave you spell bound with his style of playing. His acoustic music, though rooted in folk and prog-folk, draws inspirations from jazz, classical and other forms of music too. He is very much influenced by Chet Atkins, who hail him as the greatest contemporary finger picking guitarist.

You can read about him here. I am posting 3 of his great albums.

U2 - Rattle & Hummm

U2 was a band which burst into the scene in the eighties with the New Wave sound and captivated the rock music audience. Their music swept many off their feet and needless to say, I was one of the victims. They were one of the 10 favourite bands that I used to admire at that time. Although later on they failed to impress me as much as they did in the beginning of their career.

They released quite a few albums during the eighties and early nineties which quickly became very popular amongst their cult following - Boy, War, Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby. But this one concert album delivers the essence of their music to the world. This one album definitely says it all about their music and their sound! Bob Dylan and B. B. King joined the U2 on stage during this concert as special guests.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable album from start to finish and is regarded as one of the 100 best albums in the history of Rock music!

Shawn Colvin

Here is a very talented singer and song writer from the late eighties. She was one of the major exponents during the revival of the folk music that started during that time. Her song writing talent is remarkable. She shared the stage with who's who of the music industry during Bob Dylan's 30th Anniversay concert shows in 1992.

Here's the link to read more about her. The album infos can also be accessed from there. And here is her detailed bio, if you are interested.

Here are 2 albums of her that I could lay my hands on. The first one is her debut effort.
